Russia votes

Well, Russia goes to the pools today. I’ve already made my views on President Putin and Deputy PM Medvedev known. I don’t doubt that we’ll see Medvedev in the Kremlin after today; the result appears to be all but confirmed. I’ll go as far as saying he’ll win with over 90-95% of the vote – something that just doesn’t happen in real democracies.

Seriously, what’s the use of today’s polls? Might as well just let Putin select him to take over immediately. Couple of Russians interviewed by the BBC made it clear they aren’t going to vote because they think their vote won’t make a difference, and you can certainly see why. If you’re in Russia, are you voting? Do you truly think your vote will make a difference?
