It’s official, nine days after Super Tuesday

An astounding nine days after Super Tuesday, Senator Hillary Clinton has officially been called the winner in the New Mexico Democratic caucuses, barely edging out Senator Barack Obama. Most projections on the day itself actually went for Sen. Obama, but it’s been confirmed today that Clinton won, and took two more delegates than Obama from the state.

For the most part this changes little, especially in the delegate race. But this is a crucial victory for Senator Clinton, as the announcement comes after nine wins on the trot for Senator Obama. This win – although nine days late – will boost Sen Clinton’s campaign and perhaps give her team a renewed sense of hope. She is, after all, leading in at least two of the four March 4 primary states.
